Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union

Tasmanian Energy Crisis Tip-offs

Our workplaces are some of the biggest energy users in Tasmania. That means the Tasmanian energy crisis risks the future of our industries.

Our union is working hard to keep up the pressure on the Tasmanian government and energy sector to make sure that our electricity supply for the future is secure. If the Government fails, it's our jobs at stake.

If you have any information about the impacts of the energy crisis on your workplace, we want to know about it. In particular, we want to hear from you if:

  • Your workplace is considering cutting back workers hours
  • Your workplace is considering reducing to number of workers
  • Your workplace is considering closing sections of the workplace
  • Your workplace is experiencing regular power outages

All your personal information will be kept confidential.

We will keep members updated as we get more information.
